June, I came back home

by 박카쓰 2012. 2. 9.

Dear June,

How have you been? I bet you are making your day everyday.

I came back home last Friday, and my family and neighbors welcomed me like before. As soon as I returned to my home, I roasted pork belly(the most popular Korean meat) with Soju(the alcohol which I introduced to Trish) with my favorite members. I’ve stuffed my stomach with a Korean food since then. In fact I missed Korean food during in London.

I was very sorry not to say “Goodbye” to you when I left your house, and actually I did not want to disturb you and Miss Go at so early time. You said, “tidy quiet guest.” But I didn’t think I was a guest while I stayed at your house. You treated me like your family and your friends did like their real neighbors. I wanted to call you “Host-mom” not landlady. I really really appreciate your hospitality in London.

After I left your house, I went sightseeing to Paris and Frankfurt. I had a wonderful time watching gorgeous historic places and museums in Paris, and in Germany I went to Heidelberg and Frankfurt down despite a cold weather. I had so tied-up schedules for a week.

Now I work for my school with my students. Yesterday we had a graduation ceremony and tomorrow we’ll have a closing ceremony which means ‘finish one school year’ I am very happy to return to my normal life here, but I think I’ll miss London’s life as a time flows. It will be like a dream. It’s because I’ve dreamed going to England since I was a middle school student. At that time I learned many things about England in my English textbook.

I am sorry I must say goodbye here. I hope you’ll be happy and healthy like now.

Please say to Jacqueline and Trish, “I read “Rotti, my secret friend” by Korean version on the plane and drank Scotch Whisky at a Cafe in Paris.“

Yours Sincerely,

Bacchus
